For this project, Kimmel Bogrette first studied the possibility of renovating the existing Azikiwe-Nkrumah Hall, the oldest usable building on the Lincoln campus. Numerous options were explored, including adding to the existing building, as well as demolishing and building a new structure all together. The decision was ultimately made to renovate the building to serve as offices for the Fundraising Department. As the first building encountered when entering through the historic campus gates, the building will have a welcoming center hall, a comfortable parlor with fireplace, and a conference room for meeting with guests. The remainder of the building will be occupied with staff and student worker offices.
