In AICUP’s May 12 webinar, Kimmel Bogrette presented the second phase of our MasterConcept Planning Process: Intelligence. This phase focuses on intelligence gathering, constraints analysis, and identification of opportunities. Beyond visiting the project site, we examine existing building interiors and exteriors, understanding the underlying zoning, and look for every condition that plays a negative role or offers a unique opportunity in the existing building/site’s success.
Kimmel Bogrette worked with Washington & Jefferson College to understand the existing constraints and conditions of their student housing buildings, Presidents’ Row, that were holding them back from creating the successful project that its location in the center of campus demanded.
Watch the webinar below to hear KBA Principal, Matt McQuaide; W&J’s Vice President of Student Life and Dean of Students, Eva Chatterjee-Sutton; and CFO & VP for Business and Finance, Jim Irwin, reminisce how identifying and addressing the project’s roadblocks contributed to it’s success.
