Kimmel Bogrette worked with St. Philip’s Lutheran Church to create a new, vibrant and flexible worship space, with architectural characteristics that help to provide greater meaning to the overall mission of the church. The carefully planned scale makes the space feel intimate to worshipers with ample diffuse natural light, creating a sense of wonder and exaltation in the sanctuary. The narthex space welcomes current and potential members by creating an atmosphere that fosters interaction between church goers and clergy alike. Another project goal was to enhance the congregation’s sense of fellowship by providing support to its various social functions, bolstering community outreach programs and, most importantly, developing a strong center to educate the youth and young adults of the community, ensuring that St. Philip’s remains a strong and significant ecclesiastical institution into the future.
