The main church building forming St. John’s Church was built in 1834 and was built on the site of the original church that dated from 1769. The renovation and expansion of this historic church included complete redesign of the sanctuary, plus a three-story addition located behind the sanctuary, which now provides much-needed office and storage space. The third level accommodates a three-chamber organ loft. The architecture was designed in a style that complements the existing church, while accommodating more church members and providing more flexibility for a variety of services and performances.
