Anselma Crossing is conceived of as a Mixed-Use Village Center comprised of approximately five buildings to be used as residential and retail spaces. The site is located across the street from the historic Anselma Mill, which has been restored and returned to operation for the education and enjoyment of families, schoolchildren, tourists and scholars. Kimmel Bogrette designed the look and scale of the Village Center to be harmonious with the Mill and the rural history of the area. Some of the buildings, such as the historic School House, will be renovated and incorporated into the new Village. Others will be demolished to make space for the construction of new buildings. The project has gone through several reviews by community elected officials and is progressing toward a construction start in 2017.
