Thank you to the Philadelphia Inquirer for the great article on our recently opened John James Audubon Center’s New Visitor Center & Museum!
The new 18,000 sf Visitor Center & Museum building embodies “Life Among the Trees”, reflecting the surrounding forest and wildlife that so inspired Audubon during his time in this natural place. The building’s roof lines express the flight of birds, supported by “tree-like” columns that branch out to support the canopy. The nature friendly design incorporates bird-safe windows frosted with gray and is surrounded by native plant species to attract more birds to nest. The Museum expects to more than double its annual visitors over the next 5 years.
