“The future Community Center is going to enrich life for all Rosemont students. It will provide a place for commuting students, residential students, adult students who attend classes in the evenings and on weekends, and even non-credit students to gather in a way that really builds community. Everything a student needs in a given day will be found in the Community Center – great dining choices, the bookstore, club rooms, study rooms, the fitness center, and recreational space. I’m especially looking forward to having all of the offices for Student Life and Residence Life in one section of the Community Center. It will help us help our students!” Troy Chiddick, Dean of Students, Rosemont College, Community Center
“The Community Center’s opening in the fall of 2019 will most definitely enhance life on Rosemont’s campus. Not only will the new Community Center include four fully-equipped smart classrooms and eight group study rooms that will enrich the academic experience for our students, the gathering spaces like the Commons, the expanded dining area, the fitness center, the Sr. Mary George O’Reilly, SHCJ Community Room, and the Ravens’ Nest Café will allow faculty and students to interact informally outside of class in ways that will help to develop and strengthen their relationships with each other – a definite hallmark of the POWER of small!” – Maggie Hobson-Baker, MFA and Adam Lusk, PhD, Co-Chairs of Faculty Council
