The fast-evolving landscape on the COVID 19 building front produced some new and revised information this week.
Researchers in Houston produced a Nickel/Foam filter that captures and kills the virus, and newly released studies show airborne transmission may be more prevalent than previously thought. However, the end result of this information appears to be that the primary mode of transmission needs to be controlled, and new technologies are being developed, but certainly won’t be available in the near term. From a facility standpoint, sticking to the previously recommended measures of ventilation, distancing and PPE appear remain the best course of action.
